In de Fair(er) Futures Book Club duiken we in boeken van inspirerende denkers die ons handvatten aanreiken en tonen hoe mooi de wereld ook kan zijn. De sessies zijn alternerend in het Nederlands en het Engels.

About the book

Capital is currently cannibalizing every sphere of life-guzzling wealth from nature and racialized populations, sucking up our ability to care for each other, and gutting the practice of politics.

In this tightly argued and urgent volume, leading Marxist feminist theorist Nancy Fraser charts the voracious appetite of capital, tracking it from crisis point to crisis point, from ecological devastation to the collapse of democracy, from racial violence to the devaluing of care work. 

What we need, she argues, is a wide-ranging socialist movement that can recognize the rapaciousness of capital - and starve it to death.

How can we imagina a fair(er) future? One that respects both the limits of our planet and eachother's needs. In the Fair(er) Futures Book Club, we explore books by inspirting thinkers who offer practical insights and show us how beautiful the world could be. 

Sessions alternate between Dutch and English. This session is in English.
